The last few days have been so beautiful! We've been able to play outside in the water, take walks and keep every window in the house open. I love this time of year. Of course, I hear it is supposed to rain tomorrow and be colder for the next few days, but even that is nice when it is not snow. In three days we are braving a 20+ hour drive with the kids and my parents to Illinois to see my sister Monica's family and the church history sites there. This is the kickoff to the next three months of busy-ness, with our anniversary, birthdays, girl's camp, reunions and more. Are we crazy? Are we going to survive? Will we come home from Nauvoo with ticks? Wish us luck!

Are you driving through St. Louis? I know you'll be exhausted, but if you have to stop for a meal ANYWHERE close, call me and we'll meet you! My cell hasn't changed, but if you need it, email me.
I can't wait. I have to admit, it's nice that someone else is going to make the drive to see us this time. We've done it more times than I care to remember. I mean, it's so fun. See you soon!
Hey, if you see Jan, you have to see us! I know we're way up here, but we can show you the windy city and feed you pizza! Just kidding, I know your time will be limited and you want no extra hours in the car (though we would love to have you). We still haven't done the church history tour, we've planned it twice but someone has gotten sick each time so I give up. Enjoy your family and good luck with the drive. Gotta love those road trips.
I couldn't quite tell if you were more worried about the kids on the long drive -- or your parents. And what ticks?
Mom
