Here are our kids in action:
We had some help with the carving from the neighborhood kids. In family prayer one night, Avery prayed that she would find the biggest, wartiest pumpkin ever. And, as you can see, her prayers were answered (her arm is inside her very warty pumpkin).

We trick-or-treated 3 times! Ryan got the hang of it pretty quick and held his greedy hands out any time anyone was passing out candy. That increased our haul significantly. Way to go, Ryan!

In case you can't tell, Avery is a mermaid, Maren is a poodle and Ryan is a horse. I'm pretty sure we have enough candy to live on for the next year, so if a disaster happens, feel free to come by my house and we'll share our wealth (as for food--that one is a little slower coming). Maybe next time we should just trick-or-treat with canned goods.

Your kids are so cute. It looks like you had a good Halloween.
I think candy is definitely very important for food storage! Cute kiddos.
I've never been so happy than when I heard Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton. I thought of so many Christmas memories. I love you all. I told Matt about the show you and Dustin put on for us last year, with the skips and everything. I'm so glad we're coming home for Christmas.
we got a lot of chocolate this year...not a good haul for us. the boys aren't huge fans (i've been trying to collin to eat m&m's for a few days now without any luck...)
at least its good treats to put in brook's lunch. :)
Where's the witch? Is that how you spell witch when you're talking about the one that flies in the air and sits on a broom and lives in your stomach? Is that how you spell stomach?
Cute costumes, how fun!
They're so cute! I love the little horse costume. Ethan still hasn't quite figured out trick-or-treating, he gets one piece of candy and is satisfied tearing it open and chewing on it the rest of the night, he doesn't even care about getting any more. Which I suppose I should be glad of...btw I love your Oprah story, hilarious!
You did a great job on Halloween!!! and yes we will be there for Thanksgiving I'm so excited to see You!!
The kids look cute! They have so much fun, once they figure it out. Pumkin carving is one of favorite halloween traditions. Yours looked really good!
