Before our fire ban happened (we always end up with a fire ban in our neighborhood because we are just far enough up on the hill), we hurried and made smores' in our backyard. We tried lots of different candy bars, and the overall winner was the peanut butter cup smore. Although, my favorite was the mint truffle smore. Yummm.
The secretary at the elementary school is in our ward, and she sent me this picture of cute Ryan through the years. He's all done with elementary and on to Jr. High!
Dustin went with some of the youth from our ward on a hike of Deseret Peak. It was such a big snow year that they ended up hiking in feet of snow, and because they lost the trail (it was covered in snow), it ended up being a few hours longer of a hike than they anticipated. They also ended up getting roasted by the sun because it reflected off of the snow, and it made for some nice red faces at church the next day. You could tell who had participated in the hike!
Grant broke his tooth again. Poor kid. It is all fixed now and looking great.
Abi and Lili came and stayed the night and we had fun.
Poor Pepper got attacked by some big dogs while we were on our walk. She was very sore for a couple of days after, but otherwise, she was ok.
We stopped by and visited our good friend, Donna. She is 93, beautiful, and amazing!
Avery got her Driver's License! Her birthday was on a Saturday, but we went first thing on Monday morning, and she is now official! And, I must say, it is nice to have someone run errands for me now and then, and take herself to Cross Country in the early mornings.
I was on the Girl's Camp Food Committee again this year, and we had a fun, early morning shopping trip for 230 people.
While I had fun at Girl's Camp, cooking lots of food,
the girls had a great time with our ward. It's always fun for me to be able to see the fun things they are doing, and be a little part of it.
While we were gone, the boys went down to my parent's house and played with all the cousins! Nicole and Monica both came in to town while they were there, so they had a big cousin party. And, Grant caught his first fish!
