We brought Liam back with us when we came home from Cedar, and we left our oldest three children to come home with cousins the next day. Grant and Liam had fun that day, painting our treehouse. The Noonans stayed with us the next week, spending the majority of each day with their family on James' side, and then we got to have fun with them in the morning and late at night.
Gramma Lana had a birthday that week. We bbq'd up in the canyon (we almost got rained out). The weather has been unusually cool this summer, which has been so lovely!
Other fun things of the week:
Grant, Liam and Finn playing with Avery's fancy hair dryer.
The girls getting ready for a photo shoot.
Monica and I went hiking near my house. It was beautiful. And, we found a spot where someone must have proposed recently.
We did a sibling date for Monica's birthday. We went to dinner and then on a fun hike. It was a really beautiful hike and so fun to hang out with my sisters and their husbands (we were missing Lynnette and Jim).
Shopping at Farmington Station (and more masks).
Dustin and Pepper played piano.
Happy Father's Day to Dustin! We love him lots and feel like we are the luckiest family to have him!
And, Happy Birthday to Monica! And, goodbye. They left to start their journey back to Illinois on this day. We had so much fun with them! We love having cousins around.
But, don't worry! We had more cousins to play with! Abi and Lili stayed with us a couple of days while Lynnette and Jim were celebrating their anniversary, and the next day was Avery's birthday, so Nicole and her kids came to celebrate with us, too.
Avery wanted a peanut butter cup birthday cake (chocolate cake with peanut butter frosting) and we had fun making it.
Avery is 17! And a Senior! She is such a great daughter and great sister! She is a smart, hard working student, a good leader and so talented. She runs cross country and track, plays the violin and piano and sings. She loves to laugh and is always a good sport to the teasing of her younger siblings. She is a good friend to everyone and she makes us so happy!
Our garden has been wonderful this summer! Our lettuce and peas are the best we've ever grown. Our zucchini and squash are starting to produce (just in time to have no kitchen to cook in!). We are even growing a siamese twin squash.
We had another day of hiking with cousins. Nicole and Jen came over and we did a fun hike near our house.
The kids found a snake!
Later that week we started another major home improvement! We are finally going to update our kitchen! Yay! When we moved in 11 years ago, we ran out of time, money and energy to do much with our kitchen. But, it is finally time and we are so excited!
