After Spring Break, we jumped right back into life and finishing up the last couple of months of school. The weather in April was changing constantly! Snow, rain and sunshine (but according to the weather chart we made in Preschool, there were more sunny preschool days than any other).
We had another eclipse. It feels like we've had a lot of eclipses over the last few years. I finally bought glasses for this last one, and then I heard that we aren't going to have another one for 20 + years, so I'm going to have to try and not lose these glasses for a long time...
Ryan participated in a game called Assassin, and he got this fake Prom invite on our doorstep, in an attempt to lure him out of the house so he'd get sprayed with the water gun and get out. He never did get caught, but he also didn't get his person, so he was automatically out after a couple of weeks.
Grant turned 15!! This is so hard to believe! Our baby is 15. We've been in our house for 15 years. We only have three more years until our kids are all graduated. I need time to slow down!!
Grant is doing great things right now! He took two AP classes this year, which kept him busy. He sings with the Madrigal's choir and plays the bass clarinet in band. He has a very active, fun friend group and seems like he is doing something constantly. He's a great student and friend and a lot of help around the house. A couple of days after he turned 15 he got his Learner's Permit and so now we are teaching our last child to drive! Crazy!
I had lunch with one of my friends, Kay.
And another one of our friends, Carroll, turned 90!
Dustin had a work conference down at BYU, so he got to see Maren. (Avery had to work)
He and I went hiking one night.
And to the temple another night.
Gramma Lana's flowers are in full bloom and beautiful.
A Sunday afternoon reading day.
We visited great uncle Gordon one night.
And my parents stayed with us for a couple of days after one of their trips so that they could see Ryan play in his lacrosse game.
They got to go see one of Dustin's parks while they were here (and I was in Preschool).
Ryan had Prom! He took a girl named Kennedy.
Pepper likes to awkward cuddle.
We went down to BYU for our niece Anne's graduation.
And then we went straight to my cousin Shaun's wedding reception.
The next day we drove to the Manti Temple for his actual wedding, with my parents and Lynnette. The wedding was lovely and it was fun to see family.
While we were taking pictures at the temple after the wedding, my dad took a tumble and his glasses hit his eye and cut it. The cut really wasn't that bad, but he is on blood thinners and so we couldn't get it to stop bleeding. We ended up going in to the ER that night so they could stitch it up and double check that he didn't have any breaks or other bleeding internally. He was all clear and after a couple of stitches, he was doing much better.
We moved Maren back home when her school year ended at BYU. Yay!
We had a cousin birthday party that night for Isaac.
And Dustin and Jeff finally finished my magnet board that Dustin gave me for Christmas. Now I can hang our travel magnets again!
Lots of lacrosse for Ryan this month. It has been a super busy season with practice every day and games a couple of times a week, plus team dinners most weeks. Busy busy!
And finally, Grant got a new desk and put it together one night. He convinced us that this would really help him do his homework and study for his AP tests. We'll see if this is the magical desk that helps him pass those tests!
