Another exciting trip of this summer was on the West Coast (or close enough). We took the kids and went to see my brother Chad and his family in Seattle. We stopped at The Farm on the way there and the kids had a great time feeding ducks and driving the tractor. Yes, you heard me correct (actually it was just a lawn mower, but close enough).
Once we got to Seattle, we packed in the fun. It was great to get reacquainted with cousins. And to give Chad and Rosa a reminder of what it was like to have small children around. They were very patient with us.
While in Seattle, we took our wild animals to see the Zoo.
And the Pacific Science Center.
And to Pike's Place and on a Ferry Ride to an Island (which we saw only glimpses of as we hurried to get ice cream, and then ran back to make our ferry again).
If they look cold, it's because they are. I don't think it got warmer than low the 70's the whole time we were there. Some days were in the low 60's. We made it to the temple while we were there. It was beautiful.
And we stopped in Idaho again on our way home. We picked some raspberries, played in the water and crashed my grandpa's ward party.
As I said, we like to pack it all in. We rarely relax when we vacation, but we always have fun! It was so nice to see Chad and Rosa and their kids. They really took care of us while we were there. Even though it is hard to live so far away from some of our family, it does allow us to have some fun places to visit. Now we are being forced back into a routine. Tomorrow school starts!

Ryan and Grant look so old in that picture of them in front of the trees. We need to take a trip out to Seattle soon. Good luck with school today!
Look at Maren, taking to that snake like it was a puppy! So brave :)
You really packed a lot in this summer, good for you!!
