The boys participated in the school play this week. They did Shrek Jr, which, I must admit, didn't make me that excited because Shrek is probably one of my least favorite movies. However, they did a great job, and the music was fun and there was only one real "Shrek" moment in the play (think: potty humor). The kids were all cute and it was a lot of fun. And, it's nice to have it over after 5 weeks of early morning practices, and one week of long afternoon dress rehearsals. Ryan was Hansel and Grant was Jiminy Cricket, plus they were both citizens and backup singers. Cousins and Gramma Lana came to watch on opening night, and that made it extra fun!
As a family, we went to Rootstech Family Day. We got to hear Elder David A. Bednar speak, and then wandered around the booths. We happened to run in to an Elder and Sister Losee. When I stopped to talk to them, we discovered that he is my dad's cousin (my grandpa, Eugene Losee's nephew). Actually, they were both deaf, so we wrote down most of our conversation. He looked so much like my grandpa! That was sweet and made me miss him!
We also got to meet some of our favorite actors from Studio C. That was super fun for us!
And we met the creators of one of our favorite games! We love the game Skull King, and have tried to get everyone we know to love it, too. And, I think we've been pretty successful. It's too bad we don't get a commission...
Another thing that happened in our week was that the girl's made it to Region Young Women's Basketball. Yay!
