February was filled with a lot of things. Especially snow. So. Much. Snow. But that is good because we need water desperately in Utah!
We did do some running for indoor track.
And some indoor soccer.
And Maren went to the Sweethearts Dance.
I helped her practice putting on the boutonniere.
I was a very good teacher.
It has been so fun watching these girls grow up! Most of them have been best friends since Elementary School. I love them!
We had a family dinner. It was fun.
Ryan had a soccer tournament in St. George. Maren had to work, so we left her home and took the boys down. We were able to stay with my parents, and they came with us to watch the games. It was really nice to spend time with them! My dad hit his three month, post heart surgery mark, so he considers himself healed (haha) and we can visit them again! Yay!
It wasn't as warm as we would have like it to be, but still warmer than our house was!
We had lunch and walked around both temples that are under construction in St. George. They both look beautiful!
Red Cliffs Temple. You may notice that both boys are looking very similar in height to me. And you would be incorrect. I think they are slouching because they are both actually taller than me now!
The boys found a big pile of dirt to climb. They couldn't resist. They may be taller than me, but they are still young enough to feel the need to climb a big pile of dirt when they see one.
The St. George temple is getting very close to being done with renovations. It looks a little different from when we were married there almost 22 years ago!
Maren got asked to Prom.
And she answered.
Pepper got a haircut and a fancy bow. Doesn't she look excited about her bow?!
It was Valentines Day. We had a nice dinner at home and then went to a churro restaurant to get dessert. It was only OK. But the company was good!
The Valentines Lady came. This year, she just threw candy at the kids when they opened the door and then ran off. You just never know what she'll do next. (All Dustin did was take a video, so I screen shot a few of the scenes--including the shot of me coming up from the basement after she left, and my cheeks were stained bright red from the V-lady lipstick, hahaha!)
Our nephew and niece came into town and we took Tysen with us to SLC to check out the NBA All-Star stuff going on. There were tons of people, plus a few ice sculptures.
And we randomly ran into our other nephew, Ammon, and his wife Anne.
It was SO INCREDIBLY COLD!!! Don't let that sunshine fool ya. It was miserably cold.
We had another family dinner that weekend. It was also fun.
We also went to the Planetarium.
And then Snowmaggedon happened! We got 10 1/2 inches at our house, the kids stayed home from school (the boys were sick anyway, and Maren didn't want to deal with the nasty roads). The government center got shut down, so Dustin worked from home. Some areas of the valley got 2 feet! We have consistently had snow every few days for the whole month of February. We need it so bad, so no complaints from me this year! (Don't worry, I'll be back to complaining about it next year)
Too deep for our little dog to play in!
I just took these pictures because now that my kids are older, I don't take any pictures of our day to day stuff. Like dishes and puppy cuddles.
Avery is surviving a Seattle winter and is now training! We look forward to our weekly chats with her.
And, Maren got accepted to BYU! We were very excited for her. She actually hasn't made a final decision yet on where she'll go, but she was happy to at least have the option of BYU, since it has been her dream since she was a small child. Time is flying by and graduation is approaching!!
