Yesterday was mine and Dustin's 8th Anniversary. The gift for eight years is Bronze. I couldn't help feeling like we were in third place for something and that just didn't seem right (you're all gold to me, Babe). I gave Dustin a bronze frame to hold a picture of Belize. He gave me bronze colored chocolates and bronze tanning lotion. For any of you who have had to put on sunglasses to keep from being blinded by the glare of the sun off of my pearly white legs, you will know that this was a much appreciated gift. Here is a photo of us back in the day:

We were just babies then. Although, I don't know that my looks have changed much. When you are completely out of style, it is easy to look the same after eight years. Dustin has lost something since we were married, which ages him a little. Luckily for both of us, I have always found balding men highly attractive (um, just one now though). So, Happy Anniversary, Honey! I love you!

I totally think you guys look the same. Congrats on eight years. And I can't believe there is someone out there who thinks balding men are attractive.... I am trying to figure out who you thought was attractive before you got married..... Nicolas Cage? Bruce Willis? Jack Nicholson?
Happy Anniversary!!!! I miss you both and love you!
yeah, well i noticed the same thing about dustin :)
although don't feel too bad, i think that brook lost on top and gained around the middle :)
happy anniversary, we celebrate on monday 8 too!
I always felt the same about bald guys. It's a good thing there are girls like us out there, snatching up those balding men! And, since you commented on the crazy ward dynamics on my blog, I thought I'd explain: The med school accepts LOTS of Utahns, so our ward is 90% med students and residents. It really is weird, but we love it. Happy 8th, you guys!
Happy Anniversay! Sorry I forgot to tell you when I talked to you. I was digging through some old pictures the other day and I found the pictures we took in our wedding dresses together. It was funny and looked a little wrong having two girls in dresses. We need our hubbies in the pictures too.:)
Haha, such fun gifts!!! I better invest in some bronze legs too!!
It's too bad I'm not coming out anymore because I wanted to try out the bronze legs.
Dustin is losing his hair? I can't even tell...
Congrats! I love the pics, you both look so happy and have the same big grins!
Happy Anniversary! I can't believe it's been that long. I remember going and visiting you guys in your first apartment. Your post made me laugh out loud, you Shurtz girls were always hilarious!
How time flies! I do not know the "themes" of each anniversary, you will have to enlighten me. So in return I can enlighten Rocky. Then I can know what to expect from here on out...
ooo how sweet you two look, in BOTH of your pics~! happy anniversary and many more to come for sure~!
