Dustin's mom is a lot of fun. She loves to tell stories and the kids are always very attentive. When she's here it is like Christmas, every day. The kids get spoiled rotten.
But, alas, we had to get back to real life and school again. Grandma left, and we got back in to our routine. Avery had her big project of the year: the 5th grade Wax Museum. She was Louisa May Alcott. In full costume, she had to memorize a monologue of Louisa May Alcott and recite it when people pushed her button. Our genius neighbor rigged up Christmas lights with a light switch for her button. She did a great job and I think she's really glad that it is over!
Grant was loving this little wax museum. He wandered around pushing the kid's buttons and listening very intently to their presentations. Rosa Parks there (on the end) had to give him her spiel about 10 times. He liked her's the best, I guess.
Speaking of Grant,
There went half of our bottle of shampoo (I think this was actually Ryan's doing). Oh well. Look how nice they clean up!
This picture may end up being a black mail photo for Ryan someday...

We were the same way when we lived in Moscow, ID. We were so close to places in Washington State and even Canada, but never went because we were too busy with school and too poor.
Even though we don't have money to do everything we want to do right now, I'm glad that we can budget the money to see some fun things out here while we're on the East coast.
That's a cute picture of your kids listening to Grandma tell stories - she must be a really good story teller!
