This And That

We are definitely in the stage of life where my main motherly jobs are Secretary, Chauffeur, and Cheerleader.  I feel like we are running from one activity to the next, and I have to be completely on top of schedules and homework, as well as be constantly available (and energetic enough) to support and give positive reinforcement to all that my kids are doing.  Wow.  That long, drawn out, run on sentence should give you the vibe of my life right now.  And yet, it is such a great stage, in so many ways.  We are busy, but life is so much good and full of new parenting adventures!  We get to watch Avery play volleyball with the young women in our ward (and I get to help them practice each week).  Maren gets to sing with the school choir.  We are trying to figure out this Scouting thing for Ryan, which is exciting.  And Grant is learning how to spell and read.  What a fun stage of life for each of us!
This is Ryan receiving an award at Pack Meeting
This is us driving around in the Saturn because our van died. :(  And to make matters worse, it died at the Fire Station, at the end of a preschool field trip.  It made for a little stress for this preschool teacher.
The girls and I went to a book signing with their book club.  The book is called Hook's Revenge, and it is SO funny!  You should all read it.  The author is Heidi Schultz.
The kids dressed up like parents.  See Grant's shell shocked look?  That's kind of what I look like about 93% of the time.
The girls and Gramma Lana and I went out to eat before the General Women's Meeting.  It's so fun that the girls get to come with me to this!
The kids all got it into their heads that they wanted to make terrariums.  So we headed to the garden store and they each bought their own things to make their little fairy gardens.  They turned out so pretty!  They are all landscape architects in the making.

Dustin and the boys worked hard shoveling gravel to put in our window well.
 Cool glasses.
Avery made some fun cookies one afternoon (provided by Grandma).
Gramma Lana took us to Chuck-E-Cheese one night.  The kids were in heaven.
And that has been the busy fun of the last couple of weeks!
